Golf:
Hernando County features over 11 public
and 6 private golf courses.
Fishing:
Hernando County has a year-round fishing season, lakes . Plus, the Gulf of Mexico
provides a full range of saltwater fishing.
Hiking:
Withlacoochee State Trail - part of Florida's Rails-to-Trails program. It's
41-mile stretch of railroad tracks have been converted to a trail suitable for
hiking, biking, and horseback riding. In addition many of the county parks have
nature trails.
Camping:
Canoeing:
Withlacoochee and Weeki Wachee Rivers
are ideal scenic waterways for a day of canoeing.
Biking:
Miles and miles of bike trails crisscross the county and the Nature Coast ; trails such as the
Withlacoochee Croom Off-Road Bike Trail, the Suncoast Trail, and for Mountain
Bikers the Gran Canyon Mountain Bike Park.
Skateboarding:
Hernando County has it's own skate park : "Pioneer
Park Skateboard Complex" aka "Stewy's Skate Park"
with over 18,000 square feet of skating surface and
ramps as tall as 5 feet and areas for beginners and younger children.

Art, Craft & Music Festival at Tom Varn Park.

Band Shell Bash
a series of free outdoor
concerts, featuring regionally recognized acts. The music is always
family-friendly. The
event also includes the Brooksville Cruise-In, an antique
hot rod car show .
