Nothing validates success more than the earnest endorsement of a satisfied customer. The Hernando County Office of Economic Development thanks these business owners for sharing their stories. It was our pleasure to assist them, and to have the opportunity to demonstrate, once again, that Hernando County is …
Sareet Majumdar is president of ICTC, a specialized electronics manufacturer that has facilities in 13 countries. He chose to establish his headquarters in Hernando County in 1988. ICTC employs more than 100 workers at the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Airport & Technology Center:
“We were attracted by the supportive business environment in a community with an able and dedicated workforce.”
“The Office of Economic Development helped us tremendously with incentives and with our plans for expansion. They and the community are very pro-business and my experience has been very positive. I would recommend Hernando County for any interested business.”
Wayne Johnson - Accuform
Wayne and Dave Johnson own and operate Accuform Signs, a global custom sign manufacturer that employs 300 workers in a 100,000-square-foot facility in the Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport & Technology Center.
“We were initially drawn to Hernando County because land and building costs were very affordable, because there was a ready workforce, and because we were close to Tampa without being in the city.”
“Hernando County is a great place to live and to own a business. The incentives offered are competitive and the Office of Economic Development staff is committed not only to attracting new business, but also to assisting existing businesses. When we expanded recently, they eagerly cleared the way, handling the applications and incentives so we could focus stay focused on running our business.”
Charles Bennett - Zymöl
Charles Bennett brought his international business from the Northeast U.S. to Hernando County because “not only does it have the physical climate I need to grow my company’s products, it has the business climate I need to cultivate my company’s overall prosperity.”
Bennett founded Zymöl, a line of all-natural, high-end waxes more than 30 years ago. He was looking for an environment where he could grow the ingredients he needs, such as bananas, avocados and macadamias. He chose Hernando County, where the climate is similar to that of Brazil and Carnauba palms (a main ingredient in Zymöl waxes) flourish.
“For entrepreneurs, there is no place better than Tampa Bay. The region is warm and inviting. … you couldn’t ask for a better and more beautiful place to live.” Since moving to Tampa Bay, my company has doubled in size.”
Tim Neubert - Neubert Aero Corp.
Entrepreneur and pilot Tim Neubert has built Neubert Aero Corp. from the ground up, and now his company is flying high manufacturing airport safety products such as friction testers, friction decelerometers, geographic information systems software, signage and huge yellow runway barricades. Neubert sells his products nationwide, but he chose Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport & Technology Center as the place to locate and grow his business.
“I found the perfect place for my business in the smaller community of Hernando County. … This region’s quality of life surpasses that of anywhere I have lived. As soon as you set foot in Tampa Bay, you’ll fall in love, and you’ll fall in love hard. Believe me, 4.3 million people don’t live in this region for no reason. It’s hard to visit and not want to stay forever.”
